We are looking for an estimator for a full-time, permanent role for our customer, a leading contractor specialising in building and civil engineering projects across Cumbria and beyond. They cater to a diverse clientele, from small individual organisations to large multinational companies, local authorities, and housing associations.
Projects encompass both traditional and modern construction methods. With environmental considerations becoming increasingly important, they are adept at delivering projects that meet national construction standards.
We are seeking an Estimator/ Senior Estimator based at the Head Office in Flimby, (remote/ flexible working will be considered).
Key responsibilities
The candidate will be required to work to strict deadlines and have a good understanding of:
- Construction techniques,
- Tender processes
Qualifications
- Experience in cost control and management
- Strong understanding of administration and negotiation
- Proven ability to analyse and interpret drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools
